Águas e Energia do Porto
Águas e Energia do Porto is a public utility company responsible for the management of water and energy in the Municipality of Porto (Portugal) serving 157,949 customers and a population of about 500,000 people per day. The company was established in 2006 to ensure complete and effective management of the urban water cycle, creating economic and social value and developing good environmental practices. Integrated management of the urban water cycle includes the following activities: water supply, wastewater drainage and treatment, stormwater drainage, rivers and streams clean up and rehabilitation, bathing water quality and seafront valorisation, and environmental education promotion.
