In Flanders, Aquafin collects and treats over 2 billion litres of domestic wastewater daily in 321 WWTPs. Yearly, we realise sanitation projects for over 250 million euros and maintenance/improvement projects for over 15 million euros. We also use our knowledge for an environment in harmony with water. Creating a place for rainwater in attractive, functionally equipped public spaces. Today, not only the quality of the water but the whole ecological footprint, including energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and the use and recovery of valuable resources is important. To tackle this multi-criteria optimisation challenge, Aquafin embraces the technologies of the future.
