It’s All About Clean Water. MSD is a wastewater utility that provides sewer service to about 232,000 households and businesses in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. MSD’s service area encompasses 290+ square miles and serves 43 of the 49 communities in Hamilton County as well as small parts of Butler, Clermont, and Warren counties. MSD operates more than 3,000 miles of sewers, about 100 pump stations, 9 wet weather facilities, 9 wastewater treatment plants, and the Lick Run Greenway.
