Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority

Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority (MWRRA) is established as per Section 3 of MWRRA Act, 2005 on 08 June, 2005. The mandate given to the Authority is to regulate water resources within the State, facilitate and ensure judicious, equitable and sustainable management, allocation and utilisation of water resources, fix the rates for use of water for agriculture, industrial, drinking and other purposes and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
