Sweden Water Research

Sweden Water Research is the joint R&D unit of three utilities in southern Sweden (NSVA, Sydvatten and VA SYD). We cover 20 municipalities with a total of about 1 M inhabitants. Together with our utilities, we meet future challenges related to water quality, digital transformation, and the circular economy. We employ about a dozen PhD students for long term projects and but also coordinate short term R&D projects with the utilities’ staff and infrastructure.
