Centre for Water Systems, University of Exeter

The Centre for Water Systems (CWS) is internationally renowned for its research into water systems engineering. Supporting, developing and operationalising sustainable water management is a key challenge for the future that is strongly addressed by the Centre’s activities. This includes research into water supply and distribution systems, urban drainage networks, flood risk management, and smart water systems, to name a few. Established in 1998, the Centre collaborates with industry and research institutions worldwide. The Centre staff include twelve academics, twenty research fellows, fifty postgraduate researchers, two administrators and several honorary members.
