Upper Occoquan Service Authority

UOSA Regional Water Reclamation Plant is located on 470 acres in Northern Virginia and treats wastewater from four jurisdictions. It is rated for 54 mgd with an overall treatment architecture called potable reuse which incorporates conventional wastewater and advanced drinking water treatment processes. The highly treated output from the plant supplies roughly 20% of the inflow into the Occoquan Reservoir, which provides drinking water for Fairfax Water.
