SWAN Americas Alliance Survey –
“How Utilities Organize for Innovation”

The SWAN Americas Alliance and the Environmental Policy Innovation Center (EPIC) are partnering to evaluate how water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities organize for digital innovation. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey and to increase our understanding of how utilities actually “do” innovation.

Preliminary results of the survey will be presented at the 12th Annual SWAN Conference to be held May 24-26, 2022 in Washington, DC, and a final report will be published later this year on the SWAN website. Starting April 6th, anyone who works for a utility is invited to add their voice to the project by completing the below, brief survey. Participants will also have an opportunity to share their stories for inclusion in the report.

The survey has four sections. The first section will ask a few basic questions about you, and the second section will ask a few questions about your utility. The third and fourth sections will ask more detailed questions about human and organizational factors within your utility.

We expect this survey to take about 15-20 minutes to complete. All data collected will be used anonymously. In addition, one lucky survey participant will be selected at random to win a complimentary pass to the SWAN 2022 Conference, courtesy of SWAN.
