SWAN helped kick-start our digital transformation journey after attending my first SWAN Conference in Spain, roughly six years ago. Witnessing the advancements taking shape around the world, I returned home and set NYC DEP’s wastewater digital transformation in motion. I began with an honest assessment of the agency’s existing OT infrastructure—spanning SCADA, telemetry, and CMMS through to cybersecurity practices—captured in a matrix that was, at the time, predominantly in the red. Today, most of those areas have either been completed or are well underway.
